But who is Gilberte ?

Gilberte was born in 1922, in Nîmes, and until the end of her life in 2018, she lived a thousand adventures!

Passionate about travel, she visited and lived on several continents, from Syria and Tunisia to Italy, and even the Land of Fire for her 85th birthday. For Gilberte, nothing was impossible, even with limited means.

Gilberte was a great talker; she had an opinion on everything - politics, the Second World War she had lived through, how to make the perfect risotto... She couldn't imagine a meal without a glass of red wine, and she would have undoubtedly enjoyed the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

Today, it's thanks to her memory that we have renovated this house in the heart of the village, and her children and grandchildren are committed to providing you with the experience of a stay according to Gilberte, full of enthusiasm and discovery!
